Project Description

Working for PRUPIM, RGP Architects designed these striking riverside restaurant units at Garthdee in Aberdeen.

The site is highly prominent, sitting directly adjacent to the historical Bridge of Dee, a major route into the city centre. A number of alternative built form options were modeled to assess the visual impact of the proposals, before choosing the favoured solution.

Large glazed frontages, dynamic roof shapes and raised seating terraces overlooking the river create exiting and lively elevations with a distinctly riverside feel.
