Project Description

Late August 2014 saw the opening of the long-awaited Morrison’s supermarket on the Isle of Sheppey. Sitting in a prime location adjoining the main arterial route onto the island the development demanded high quality design.

Taking the coastal theme RGP’s solution has sweeping, curved canopies which rise-up to emphasise the glazed entrance, which itself has a roof curved in a wing-form. The opening of this latest LXB development has been welcomed by locals, who previously had little choice of shopping destination on the island. This opening completes the first phase of a comprehensive development

RGP has prepared a comprehensive development of the site, to provide a high quality modern and attractive development, on a gateway site to the Isle of Sheppey. The site is bounded by the A429 to the North West of the site and the Rushenden Relief Road to the South East.

The Neatscourt Retail and Business Park brings together the Food store,  Petrol Filling station, Retail Units, to provide modern facilities to attract national retailers on to Sheppey, a ‘Drive-Thru’ restaurant located at an accessible location on the A249 as well as a Family Pub to improve leisure facilities and light industrial units to provide local employment
