Details for another innovative dwelling have been submitted for planning approval in the borough of Acton, London.
RGP have prepared designs for a 3 bedroom dwelling on an extremely narrow site, at the rear of a large garden on Noel Road in Acton. To meet the London Design Standards and innovative approach has been undertaken to ensure all the principal rooms have natural light and ventilation via large sun tubes, that, through the solar chimney effect, will draw the warm, moist air from the kitchen and bathrooms, and at the same time provide natural light into the heart of the home. The ventilation can be boosted through mechanical means powered by photovoltaic panels mounted on the flat roof. The dwelling will be manufactured in low energy off-site SIPS panels with the brick facing, already applied, to enable the dwelling to be constructed within the site to ensure there is no impact on the neighbouring gardens.
