An exciting new scheme in Clacton-on-Sea will create a many new jobs, and attract an investment of £10M over the next two years.

Aegon UK Property Fund have obtained planning permission for a mixed use, retail and leisure development, at Clacton Factory Outlet Village, Clacton-on-Sea. The scheme, designed by architects The Ratcliffe Groves Partnership (RGP) will create a refreshed Shopping Park by the part-demolition and refurbishment of the existing factory outlet village to the northern section.

The owners also plan to invest heavily on the southern part of the site, in the form of new build restaurants, a cinema complex and retail, having also received outline planning permission for the retail element and a drive thru restaurant.

Speaking on behalf of The Ratcliffe Groves Partnership, Martin Chew, Director said ‘the team have been working hard for 2 years to design a scheme that will bring life back to this area. Not only will the design create a significant number of jobs in the construction phase, but the combined retail and leisure jobs it will create will be a great boost for the area’.

Building work is expected to start later in 2015, with Phase One being completed over a period of nine months.
