Project Description

The philosophy and approach for the refurbishment and redevelopment at Borehamwood Shopping Park for British Land was based upon inclusive design. The site is located close to the town centre between Theobald Street and Shenley Road.

The works included dividing Units, refurbishing units, re-cladding and re-roofing to provide additional headroom. An emphasis has been placed on hard rather than soft landscaping in response to the urban context. The car park areas have a tarmac surface with generous pedestrian footpaths laid out in concrete paving providing continuous pedestrian links through the development.
