“The Costa Coffee unit formed part of the overall developement of Charlton Place directly along side Woolwich Road . Due to its prominant location all elevations of the building are very visible and required a strong design around the facade whilst taking account that the roof could be used by the public in the event of a flood from the River Thames.

Formed from a combination of high quality building, landscape materials and mature
trees, Woolwich Road frontage proves to be a successful public space. This development provides a much needed active place for the area and is already helping to improve the profile of the neighbourhood providing an impetus for further redevelopment.”
