Project Description
The constraints of planning regulations requiring us to keep an existing building frame, the requirements to achieve a high quality produce for the one of the country’s best-loved retailers and a very tight programme made this project at Chester quite challenging. However, with an excellent team effort, John Lewis opened their latest ‘At Home’ format store on Greyhound Retail Park in 2012 on time and to budget.
Using two existing retail units as the base, the existing building envelope was stripped-back and the upper portions of the frame raised, to allow for a generous mezzanine floor. High-spec wall panels in house colours and clean design lines of entrance features reinforce the theme This project was carried-out as a direct appointment under RGP’s framework agreement with Land Securities.
