Set in gated grounds and surrounded by 3 acres of Woodland Trust parkland, this redundant former school and associated buildings are located at a vantage point over Rawtenstall town centre, in the Rossendale Valley. Realising the architectural value of the existing buildings, the clients brief incorporated the restoration and redevelopment of the existing buildings, and the construction of new luxury homes.

RGP’s award winning scheme included the careful redevelopment of four existing buildings and five new-build luxury houses, sympathetically detailed, providing an exclusive collection of individual homes. Plot 1 was developed from the northern gatehouse, Plot 2 & 3 developed from the stables, Plot 8 from the southern gatehouse, and 10 apartments developed from the main house. All the materials are new or reclaimed stone with natural stone details and slate roofs.
