RGP received a ‘Best New Small Building’ Civic Trust Award in 2011 for this Sainsbury’s Local store. Developed for Windmill Group at Whitegate Drive in Blackpool, the building replaced the iconic art deco Belle Vue garage which had been destroyed by fire.

Costing £450,000, the building extends to around 5,000 sq.ft. and is designed to echo the curved breakfront lines of the canopy of the original garage, whilst maintaining a contemporary feel through the use of modern materials and detailing.
