Despite being best known for our commercial work, RGP have a long track record of over 50 years in the housing sector. Our housing portfolio, in its many forms, has been growing steadily for the last 15 years. The range of housing types is diverse, from one-off, high-value homes & gated communities, through to high-density social housing, innovative modular-type dwellings and highly sustainable homes.
Our latest completed project has been a traditional, high-density, small residential development at Stonepail Close, Gatley, shown above. This gated community comprises 26 homes in a terraced and semi-detached modern townhouse arrangement, wrapped around a central courtyard and play area, all of which were pre-sold before the development was complete!
With a number of projects already on site, 2020 is set to be a bumper year with a wide variety of schemes in the pipeline, including;
Prince Regents Lane – Newham Council
RGP have prepared a new exemplar residential scheme, based on the equivalent of a Code for Sustainable Homes (CSFH) level 5 criteria. It will comprise seven dwellings on a former pub corner site, with car-free design and incorporating self-contained cycle storage for each unit. The project will be a contemporary design which includes modern methods of construction (MMC) in the main structure.
Worth Farm Phase 1 – East Sussex
This project, consisting of six detached dwellings and garages, is phase one of a development converting existing farmland into new, high-end, large family homes. The scheme has a traditional architecture character, matching the surrounding area, whilst utilising offsite timber framed construction, to reduce site waste and improve delivery time.
